[GIVEAWAY] Season’s Eatings: Win a $50 Firebirds Gift Card

Grilled Scallops and Super Foods SaladGrilled scallops and superfoods salad

The holidays are here and for many of us the season is synonymous with large family gatherings, great food, and of course lots of cooking. The frenzy of the season is enough to deal with–why not relax and let someone else do the cooking? Firebirds, the Charlotte, North Carolina-based casual restaurant group is up to the task with its menu of classic American, wood-fired entrees. Open for lunch and dinner, Firebirds features a varied selection of bold dishes prepared in-house, including hand-cut steaks, fresh seafood, chicken, and ribs–all seared over hickory, oak, or pecan wood, imparting a flavorful smokiness that has become the eatery’s signature.

This winter, a creative seasonal menu offers a blend of trendy ingredients like fresh baby kale, arugula, barley, Brussels sprouts, squash, basil and more. Popular dishes like the grilled scallops and superfoods salad (pictured above) offer a healthy alternative to heavy traditional dishes typically associated with holiday eating. Other menu items include braised short ribs with creamy Parmesan mashed potatoes, pan-roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash and house-smoked pastrami-spiced turkey breast focaccia sandwich with tomato soup–this is comfort food at its finest. The standout menu offers innovative takes on customary holiday eats and, as this season is the busiest time of the year to dine out, the new winter selections–along with seasonal cocktails, hot after-dinner drinks, and a new gift card promotion–are sure to light up the holidays.

Firebirds is generously sponsoring a $50 gift card giveaway to one lucky reader of The Palate Princess! The gift card is a great way to taste the new seasonal menu and sample the bold flavors of unique dishes. To find a Firebirds Wood Fired Grill near you, click here.

The giveaway ends Wednesday, December 31st at 11:59 PM. To enter, please leave a comment below stating what you love about dining out during the holidays; the winner will be chosen by a random generator.

I go to Firebirds all the time with my husband. It sounds strange but I love how busy restaurants are always busy during the holiday. I like the hustle and bustle…I know, I’m crazy. 🙂

My answer’s already taken but I like not having to cook. It gives me a break from slaving over a hot stove.

I like dining out during the holidays because the food is usually better than what I can prepare. It gives me more time to sit friends and family and catch up.

What I love about dining out during the holidays is that all my family is together and we can spend more time together sharing the places we love to eat out at and more bonding time! It’s also a great way to reward yourself for all the hard work we do during the holidays!
