As you well know, I love to cook and most of the time I’m cooking something Italian (specifically pasta). When cooking pasta, a good heavy-bottomed large pot is desirable. Calphalon took it one step further with their workhorse of a multipot (available on the Williams-Sonoma website) by including a pasta insert.
Beautifully crafted, it heats evenly and is spacious enough for those of us purists who believe that breaking dry pasta in half in order to fit it into a pot is sacrilege. The only downside is the fact that it is a little cumbersome on a normal-sized stovetop. As someone who normally cooks for only 1-2 people per night, I wish it came in a smaller size.
