Be forewarned that this restaurant is usually packed especially on the weekends and long wait times may ensue. When I say shoulder-to-shoulder standing room only, I mean it. I’m a claustrophobe so it kind of freaked me out. Thankfully, we were seated rather quickly–sadly at a makeshift table right near the swinging kitchen doors–but, hey, beggars can’t be choosy.

One of the owners, an absolute sweetheart, recognized the inconvenience of our seating and brought out a complimentary seared tuna appetizer for us. Unfortunately, neither I nor my friend eats fish but the gesture was sweet nonetheless. I ordered the crab bisque which was awesome; my friend had the lobster taco which was ‘meh’ and sort of on the bland side–a touch of salt would have completely transformed the dish. The asparagus tuilles were tasty as was the fried shrimp I ordered.
