Lunch is that meal that either makes an already crappy workday even crappier or can happily power you through your boss’ post-lunch P&L meeting (been there, done that). Sure, delis and greasy diners are great occasionally, but sometimes you want something a little lighter and little more upscale.
Sugarfoot is a gourmet catering company with two café outposts in uptown (N. Lincoln St.) and downtown (Orange St.) Wilmington. Both breakfast and lunch are served, but you’ll find Sugarfoot at its busiest when the working crowd storms the place at noon. Sandwiches like the filet of beef with cheddar almond cheese and fried shallots or the toasted turkey, brie, and champagne mustard are perennial (and personal) favorites as are a pleasing variety of salads.
